At The Family Tree, we believe in a future where people and nature grow together. That is why we work with partners such as Dealin.Green to encourage regenerative agriculture as well as actively reduce the impact of CO₂ emissions. One of the most powerful tools for this? Carbon credits.
What are carbon credits?
Carbon credits are tradable certificates that represent a reduction or removal of CO₂ emissions. By investing in these credits, companies, organisations and individuals can offset or reduce their carbon footprint. Consider scope 3 emissions: the indirect emissions in the chain.
But carbon credits are more than just offsets. They are a driver of change in agriculture.
Carbon farming offers farmers a new revenue model. By growing crops that absorb CO₂ efficiently, such as Paulownia and Miscanthus, farmers contribute to climate gain and economic growth. These crops fix CO₂ in the fibre and the soil.
Together with Dealin.Green, we help farmers in this process:
Every tonne of CO₂ captured is registered in a blockchain system. This ensures that the carbon credits are reliable, unique and cannot be duplicated. Certification is done by independent parties according to international standards.
Through the Dealin.Green Trading Platform, we link farmers to companies that want to make their chain more sustainable. This involves not just offsetting (offsetting), but actually investing within their own chain: we call this carbon insetting. Together, we make a difference at a structural level.
At The Family Tree, we bring regenerative initiatives together in an ecosystem where nature, entrepreneurship and technology go hand in hand. Carbon credits fit this seamlessly. They form the bridge between ecological impact and economic value. Together, we are building a future where sustainable choices go without saying.
Our goal is to plant 1 billion trees by 2035, helping restore ecosystems, combat climate change, and create sustainable communities worldwide.
Through innovative tree planting, we capture 40,000 kg of CO2 per hectare each year, reducing greenhouse gases and promoting a healthier climate.
We restore ecosystems and enhance biodiversity through sustainable practices, improving habitats for wildlife and ensuring a healthier planet for future generations.
